To qualify for Henry Barnard’s Financial Aid, families must demonstrate need through a standard application to School & Student Services. A family’s calculated ability to pay will be considered along with a student’s qualifications and the school’s available funds when determining the level of tuition each family will pay. When submitting your application to SSS, please list Providence Country Day School (PCD) as the school recipient.

Please call the PCD Admissions Office at 401-438-5170 x105 with specific questions about affording an HBS education, as well as the SSS application process.

Safety and Transportation

Student safety is a top priority, especially during a pandemic. Learners remain with their grade-level pods and specialist teachers come to them. Students at HBS enjoy plentiful opportunities to explore outdoors. The building design gives each classroom direct access to secure play areas and a natural environment that invites outdoor play and learning.

Arrival and dismissal procedures take advantage of our carport, and when restrictions are lifted, a large parking lot makes drop-off and pick-up easy. Busing is also available.

School Hours and Aftercare

Currently, the HBS school day begins at 8:00 a.m., with carport drop-off from 7:50. Dismissal occurs between 2:00-2:20 p.m., with staggered dismissals to facilitate social distancing.

Aftercare is available until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee. Students may also have opportunities for after-school enrichment activities at HBS, such as piano lessons or STEAM club.

Precise schedules and offerings for 2021-2022 will be determined based on COVID-19 guidelines, as well as interest and availability.
